2012 Miami Valley Backgammon Club Monthly Tournaments

WHEN: The second Sunday of each month. [2012 Play: May 20 (regular play postponed one week due to Mother's Day), June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, November 11 (Veteran's Day weekend), and December 9]

WHERE: Cadillac Jack's, 2335 S. Smithville Road, Kettering, Ohio 45420-1459. (Phone 937-256-2953)
Alternate Location: Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers, 1060 Patterson Road, Dayton. 937-253-7383.

TIME: Sign-in is from 12.30 pm - 12.45 pm. A Backgammon Symposium starts at 12.30 pm and tournament play begins at 1.00 pm.

STAKES: $10 entry fee (plus $1 for year's Tournament of Champions (TOC) prize pool). 100% of entry fees are returned to winners. Winnings are increased by donations from Cadillac Jack's! Thank you, Cadillac Jack's!

DETAILS: Main bracket matches are 7 points with the final (Championship) match being 9 points. The "Last Chance" (consolation) bracket matches are 5 points with the final also being 5 points. Two matches are guaranteed for each player!

Tournament of Champions: 100% of TOC fees are returned to TOC winners. The TOC is usually held in January for the prior year; the specific tournament date will be announced later in the year (tentatively January 20, 2013). All players who play in at least one monthly tournament are eligible to play in the TOC.

2012 Dayton Backgammon Club (US Backgammon League Affiliate) Monthly Tournaments

WHEN: The last Sunday of each month. [2012 Play: April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29, August 26, September 30, October 28, November 25, & December 30]

WHERE: Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 2720 Towne Drive # 200 (across from the Fairfield Commons Mall), Beavercreek, Ohio 45431. (Phone 937-429-1660)

TIME: Sign-in is from 12.30 pm - 12.45 pm. Tournament play begins at 1.00 pm.

STAKES: None! This is a FREE tournament. The winner is awarded a "Traveling Trophy" for possessing until forfeiting it at the next monthly tournament.

DETAILS: Main bracket matches are 5 points with the final (Championship) match also being 5 points. The consolation bracket matches are 3 points with the final also being 3 points. Two matches are guaranteed for each player!
